Winter-leaf tea — picked only after the solstice, and only in a warm winter, which is why so little of it exists. The old leaves grow thick against the cold; the liquor is apricot-gold, unusually sweet and full. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic counsels winter storage of the body’s energies; the name means exactly that: Nurtured Reserve.
